Delayne Crow is the pitmaster for Four Crows BBQ out of Wichita Falls, Texas. He and his BBQ crew visited Bedford, TX on Sept. 1 to participate in the Bedford Blues & BBQ Festival and took first place with their bacon apple dessert.
Delayne and his wife, Amanda, have been competing for three years and have been perfecting many recipes during that time. Delayne spoke with us about some of their other recipes and choosing their winning recipe, “We took bacon and fried it, chilled it, dipped it in chocolate, chilled it and fried it in a funnel cake, and that was actually pretty good – [that recipe] did not beat out this one.”
